When Chip Kelly took over in Philadelphia, it looked as if quarterback Nick Foles would probably be sent packing.
The perception of Kelly’s offense is a wide open, up tempo, option attack that required a superior athletic signal caller.
However, Kelly has admitted that he won’t force the offense on talent not suited for it.
He also said other NFL coaches get paid too, and what he has done in college isn’t anything they haven’t seen in some shape or form before.
Back up quarterback Nick Foles was thought highly of in the Andy Reid era, Kelly so far isn’t persuaded Foles doesn’t fit his offense.
Foles was described as having a chip on his shoulder Wednesday when he met the press, sounding like someone walking a line, not a plank.
"I wouldn't be right here, right now, if I didn't fit," Foles said, via Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com. "I'd be somewhere else. I want to be here. I love this team. I love this city."
"I feel like I can go in and...

Some Philadelphia Eagles fans may be skeptical of this new team under Chip Kelly’s watch, but the moves the Eagles have made this offseason have a specific reason. The Eagles are not just going out and adding players just to add players, but there is one player on this roster that is missing. A player that I have been vehemently debating with other fans and experts that I believe...
Will Jason Peters return to his former glory? Image via Rittenhoused.
The demise of the 2012 Philadelphia Eagles offensive line began before the season even started. It all started when Pro Bowl tackle Jason Peters suffered an injury to his Achilles—two times. He missed quite a bit...
Nick Foles either strongly believes in himself or he is choosing to ignore a bunch of recent moves by the Eagles. The Eagles brought back Michael Vick, signed Dennis Dixon and recently worked out Geno Smith.
Needless to say the moves have put a large question mark on the status of Foles going forward.
“Yeah, I do. I wouldn’t be here right now if I didn’t, I think I’d be somewhere...
