Nick Folks, the Jets kicker, is skating on some rather thin ice that might soon break on him. Folk is just 22-30 on field goals this season and more importantly, only 6-11 in the past three games.
The Jets brought in Kris Brown on Tuesday, but didn’t sign him. Rex Ryan said the Jets were just doing their due diligence.
“I still feel really confident,” Folk said. “If I were in their shoes I would have done the same thing.” Manish Mehta reported that the Jets likely won’t make a change before their Monday night showdown with the Patriots, but its not written in stone. In all likelihood Folk will be kicking for his job this week. A costly miss and he could be sitting on the unemployment line next week.
