A smile. A pat on the back. A hug. These are the small building blocks that can make up the entire world of a child growing up in tough circumstances.
That's why Hall, a wide receiver with the Omaha Nighthawks, believes there's never a moment too small to give back some of that kindness that helped brighten his darkest moments growing up in a poor family. And why he sees his stature as a professional football player as a stage to repay that goodness in kind to children in Omaha.
"Sometimes these young kids handling adversity are going through a lot, so it means a lot for us to step up and say we're here for you," Hall said. "We've handled adversity too and we know what you're going through."
Hall and the rest of the Nighthawks have joined with ConAgra Foods' national "No Kid Hungry Campaign" to help stamp out childhood ...
