The San Francisco 49ers had seven players chosen to the Pro Bowl, most of any team in the NFC. A victory over the Giants Sunday would have sent those seven 49ers to the Super Bowl, opening up multiple spots that would have been filled by Seahawks.Like running back, where Frank Gore would have been replaced by Marshawn Lynch. Or cornerback, where Seattle's Brandon Browner would have stepped in for Carlos Rogers. Perhaps even safety where Dashon Goldson was selected as the backup safety while Kam Chancellor was a first alternate.Well, so much for that. While the Pro Bowl rosters aren't finalized, there are no current vacancies that you can expect to be filled by Seahawks who were chosen as alternates.Still, Seattle has two Pro Bowlers in free safety Earl Thomas and fullback Michael Robinson, which is two more Pro Bowlers than Seattle had during the previous two years combined.

My Absolutely Favorite Seattle Seahawks Touchdown of 2011

Beast Mode Back Again On a Thursday night, on national tv, against an opponent that ESPN, and the NFL Network said the Seattle Seahawks shouldn’t beat, Marshawn Lynch gave a friendly reminder to America that Beast Mode was alive and well in the pacific northwest. I chose this play, instead of the 40 yarder in the same game, because it shows the determination of Lynch that...

Will Play Calling Be The San Francisco 49ers Downfall

The San Francisco 49ers are on the verge of making their sixth trip to the Super Bowl and there is one aspect of the 49ers that could be the team’s downfall and that is the play calling on offense. 49ers Can't Handle Giants at Candlestick

The 49ers couldn't handle the Giants in their own backyard of Candlestick Park, as the NFC West juggernaut lost 20-17 in overtime. Return man Kyle Williams had two costly fumbles that led to San Francisco's demise. Fantasy Spin: Quarterback Alex Smith completed 12 of 26 passes for 196 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions. The Giants defense did a good job neutralizing...
