Found November 21, 2012 on Eagles Eye:
Not piling on Nnamdi Asomugha here...we regularly note at the Eye upon the good plays and tough assignments that should be credited to Aso, despite the fact he rarely gets public acclaim in Philly for the good plays he makes.           Everyone instead focuses on his breakdowns in zone coverage. In a way, Nnamdi's zone coverage snafu's (which are a TEAM problem, not merely a "Nnamdi" problem) could be said to symbolize the entire 2012 season so far for the Eagles. In other words, miscommunication and wasted potential... Brian Westbrook and Philly writer Jordan Hall took on the issue in a nice piece for CSNPhilly.com. It was the second quarter in the Redskins game and Nnamdi Asomugha was lined up with Washington wideout Aldrick Robinson. The rookie receiver ran a simple post route, and it seemed like Asomugha had inside help from safety Nate Allen. Instead, a Redskin cut across the middle, which caused Allen to bite. Asomugh...

For Eagles, Foles Not the Answer Either

For Eagles, Foles Not the Answer Either By SBRForum.com There’s only so many things that a head coach can change about his team before he has to go, and the Philadelphia Eagles look like they’ve hit that point. The men from the City of Brotherly Love have lost six games in a row and now have failed to cover five in a row. They have changed defensive coordinators and have changed...

Fear and Loathing on the Philadelphia Eagles

At 3-7, the Philadelphia Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie and the Philly fan base are afraid and disgusted with the result of the 2012 season. Afraid because of the constant possibility of making the wrong decision in firing longtime head coach Andy Reid and disgusted with how often Reid has let everyone down season after season. Whenever you make a change at Head Coach, it’s a lot...

LeSean McCoy Doubtful For Monday Night

Philadelphia running back LeSean McCoy, who suffered a concussion during last Sunday's loss to the Redskins, is doubtful for Monday's game against Carolina.Fantasy Spin:At this point, the Eagles will need a miracle to make the postseason so perhaps the team will opt to rest their injured star running back instead of rushing him back (no pun intended) for a largely meaningless...

Eagles Odds and Ends: McCoy, Brown, Foles, MNF

The look into the future will most likely continue this week on MNF as LeSean McCoy is still in stage 1 of his recovery from a concussion. Filling in will be Bryce Brown the rookie who in limited action has shown he is worthy of the start. Brown who has gained over 4 yards a carry should get the majority if not all of McCoy’s workload will get the chance to showcase his talent...

Eagles Injury Report: Michael Vick, LeSean McCoy Likely Out for MNF

The Philadelphia Eagles can't catch a break.  After losing in their first full game with Nick Foles as their quarterback, the team was at least hoping they'd have the option of going back to Michael Vick.  However, it looks like both Vick and stand-out running back LeSean McCoy will be out on Monday night. Both Vick and McCoy are still in phase one of the NFL'...

The Taylor Swift-themed Andy Reid parody song is amazing (Video)

For all you Philadelphia Eagles fans who aren't exactly pleased with head coach Andy Reid, this song parody might be the best thing you see all week. It uses Taylor Swift's hit song, "We are never ever getting back together" as the inspiration and it might be the best parody song we've seen in awhile:

Stick a Fork in ‘Em

Eagles at Redskins, Sunday, November 18, 2012 No stud this week, but Cooper did have a few good catches. That was so bad I seriously don’t even know what to write. On the upside, we had a great weekend. Chef Spouse’s best friend Steelers Transplant and his new fiancee were in town, and we went out for a really nice dinner Saturday night and then spent all day Sunday hanging...

Rookie Bryce Brown about to get his shot

Bryce Brown watched football on television last Thanksgiving, wondering if he would ever get a chance to play in the NFL after a brief, checkered collegiate career. Now the rookie running back is preparing for his first start since 2008. In front of a national TV audience, no less. With LeSean McCoy sidelined by a concussion, Brown is expected to get a bulk of the carries when...

The Eagles are awesome at firing the wrong people

You’re Fired! Even though I unclear as to the reason why… A strange story out of the Novacare seems to point to a Philadelphia Eagles organization that, both on and off the field, simply doesn’t have a clue. News of a firing by the Eagles broke overnight. If you’re wondering why there’s no hubbub over it, it’s because it was of someone who has nothing to do with the mess...

Report: Vick, McCoy likely won’t play this week

According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, with both LeSean McCoy and Michael Vick still in phase 1 of their recovery from the concussions they suffered, it’s unlikely they’ll play on Monday night against the Panthers. Nick Foles will likely get the start for Vick, while Bryce Brown will start in place of McCoy. var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document...

Mike Tirico is so not looking forward to Panthers-Eagles next week

At least Mike Tirico is an honest man.  The ESPN Monday Night Football play by play man was reading a promo for next week's Panthers-Eagles game during last night's 49ers-Bears clunker and didn't try to sugarcoat the awful matchup.  Let's face it, it's been a rough year in terms of quality games for Monday Night Football and 2-8 Carolina vs 3-7 Philadelphia...

Marcus Vick takes another shot at Andy Reid on Twitter?

After the Eagles got spanked by the New Orleans Saints on “Monday Night Football” last month, Marcus Vick tweeted “Please trade my brother. We requesting out of Philly!!!! Please please please……” Shortly after, Michael said he had a “serious heart-to-heart conversation” with Marcus in which he told his brother to stop being a twit on…
