Rams Gab:
Just a few Friday notes from the Web and elsewhere:
*Steven Jackson ripped Bulger's benching on the radio last night and suggested that Marc Bulger would not play for Linehan again. A Also, he implied that he wasn't the only one in the locker room that felt the way he did about Bulger and Linehan. A But then Jackson didn't talk to reporters on Friday saying, "You've done enough.". A This is curious, considering Jackson was the one who said it on the radio that anyone could hear. A But, maybe he was thinking of some other incident.
*Bulger hasn't spoken to reporters since he was benched by Scott Linehan. A Bulger usually has his quotes front and center and the fact that he is not talking at all is strange for him. A He is obviously very disgusted with the benching and does not want to rip the team and coach in the press and then in get in trouble over it. (ala Steven Jackson)
*Linehan did not talk to the press after practice (the poor press! A no one will talk to them!) and instead went right into a meeting with GM Jay Zygmunt. (who we covered earlier today) A Is Linehan getting an ultimatium sent down from the ownership? A Or is he getting the dreaded vote of confidence? A What would be so urgent that it could not wait until after he spoke with the press? A So many more questions, so few answers.
Bill Coats at Around the Horns is doing an incredible job as usual picking up these reports.
