Not that this will matter to many Ravens fans, but neither Mark Sanchez, Kellen Clemens nor Erik Ainge out-performed his competitors in the race to be the New York Jets' starting quarterback when the regular season opens Sept. 13.
In Monday night's 24-23 loss to the Ravens, Sanchez, who started the game, completed three of eight passes for 43 yards and a 19-yard touchdown to running back Leon Washington, but he also saw an interception returned for a touchdown by Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata on the second play of the game.
Clemens connected on five of 10 passes for 60 yards and tossed a 28-yard touchdown to wide receiver David Clowney, but he also saw an interception returned for a score by linebacker Jameel McClain.
Ainge completed seven of 14 passes for 57 yards and ran for a 1-yard touchdown, but he didn't do anything spectacular against what amounted to the Ravens' third defense.
