The Denver Broncos still have work to do and they need Peyton Manning in order to get it done.
The Broncos could leap frog the Houston Texans for the number one seed in the AFC with a Texans loss.
They also need to hold off the New England Patriots to stay in the second seed they occupy now.
So with that being said no rest for Peyton Manning who is accustomed to kicking back in week 17 and watching the game from the sideline. Manning will start and most likely play the entire game according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
"Another chance to work on something," Manning said of the season finale. "It's just been such a fast-break year. (Offensive coordinator) Mike McCoy is trying to cram five years of experience into one year. I wish we would have played more in the preseason, had those repetitions."

With the possibility of securing a number one seed in the AFC playoffs, the Denver Broncos are expected QB Peyton Manning to play the entire game on Sunday. Typically in Manning’s career, the last game of the season was a time for the backup quarterback to make his only appearance of the season. Not this year.

If it's true that most players earn trips to the Pro Bowl for what they did the year before, then Demaryius Thomas and Wesley Woodyard of the Broncos should start making plans to be there in 2014.
The Denver receiver, with 1,312 yards and nine touchdowns, and linebacker, who leads the team with 110 tackles, were among the most surprising omissions from the AFC team announced...
