PLAYERS: Chris Harris
TEAMS: Denver Broncos
Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com wouldn’t be surprised if Broncos cornerback Chris Harris starts out on the PUP list when training camp kicks off later this month. It would be no surprise if he opens training camp on the physically unable to perform list as he completes rehabilitation from his ACL injury, but that will be determined by his progress this month. Harris’ sights are set on the start of the regular season, not training camp. When he returns, he should have an extensive role as left cornerback and slot cornerback in the nickel awaiting him. “The goal is to strive for Week 1,” he said. “If I’m not ready for Week 1, there are no negatives. This team, they need me December, January and February, when the big games come. If I’m not ready by Week 1, which I know I should be ready, then it’s no big hurt.” var ACE_AR = {Site: '898551', Size: '468060', CallType: 'IFRAME'}; Loading... Denver Broncos need Kansas cornerback duo to be super

The Denver Broncos went through years of having a great cornerback and then an also-ran or a less than stellar one on the other side. For the last 10 years, Champ Bailey was manning one side of the field. The other side of the field was always a mixed bag with players like Dre Bly, Andre Goodman and Tracy Porter filling the role of the other corner. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was...

DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller will be “double trouble” for Denver Broncos opponents

When the Denver Broncos signed DeMarcus Ware one day after he hit the free agent market, Broncos Country collectively jumped for joy. It was another free agent home run knocked out of the park by John Elway. DeMarcus Ware is a future Hall of Famer, with a knack for the sack. His 119 career sacks rank 18th on the all time list. He’s 32 years old, so he will most likely be scaling...

Peyton Manning’s set up for failure in 2014

One would believe a  devastating defeat in Super Bowl XLVIII would inspire the Denver Broncos to acquire players permitting them to make another run at the Lombardi Trophy. Instead it appears the Broncos’ management has placed Peyton Manning in a position where he is set up for failure in 2014. Weaknesses in both offense and defense were exposed on the ‘world’s biggest stage’...

Power Rankings: Denver Broncos rated as a top-15 potential Super Bowl host

In early February, Super Bowl XLVIII was played in the New York / New Jersey area, the first time the big game had been played outdoors in a cold-weather market. This opened the window for every NFL city to throw their name into the hat as a possible host for future title tilts. Currently, less than half of the league’s markets have hosted a Super Bowl, as only 15 metro areas can...

Snubbed? Denver Broncos head coach John Fox not ranked top-10 in NFL

Typically speaking, sports fans tend to worry about two things – the past and the future. They’ll debate who was the greatest player of all-time, while also spending hours discussing whether or not a rookie is going to be develop into an All-Pro. Both are fun exercises, things that keep fans engaged and the beer flowing at the local tavern. But they miss out on what is most important...

Peyton Manning has thrown for 4k yards more than any QB

The biggest debate this year has been who is better between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, and I would like to add in another statistic in Peyton’s favor. @NFL_Stats: Peyton Manning holds the #NFL Record for the most seasons with at least 4,000 passing yards with 13 #Broncos I don’t know about you, but right […] The post Peyton Manning has thrown for 4k yards more than any...

Super Bowl XLVIII fixed?

The idea that a professional game could have been thrown isludicrous! However, several times since Super Bowl XLVIII, I havefound myself in heated discussions in which people have accused Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos of purposely losing that game.Since I am a diehard Broncos fan, the whole idea set a fire under me.I don’t believe they would, nor do I think they could...

Denver Broncos OLB Von Miller named top-3 in NFL, Nos. 11-20 revealed

When cover32 released its list of the top 10 outside linebackers in the NFL today, there were some people angry about their favorite team’s top pass rusher not making the list. It made for a bit of spirited debate in the “Comments” section below the article. And it also begged another question: How close was Mr. Irate Fan’s OLB to making the list? Broncos will need to tweak fit on cap

As the Denver Broncos launched themselves into free agency earlier this year, many in the league were quick to compliment the team's salary-cap standing that enabled them to be so aggressive. And John Elway, the team's top football decision-maker, has routinely said he doesn't want to do so many things "that we're right up against the cap. We want to stay competitive...

Adam Gase: Broncos offense can be better in 2014

Perhaps it all boils down to the difference between more and better. Because any rational person would have a difficult time saying the Denver Broncos' offense could do more in the coming season than it did in the last one. At least when it comes to touchdowns, league records and whoa-look-at-that explosiveness that were all in the Broncos’ jet wash last season. The Broncos...
