The San Diego Chargers will be searching for a new head coach, if they haven’t started already.
Norv Turner recently told Jim Nantz of CBS that he’s accepted his fate.
“We all know in the end what the final outcome will be,” Turner told Nantz, who repeated it during the broadcast.
Someone in San Diego is looking out for Norv as this Craigslist ad was placed in San Diego.
Dean Spanos has denied the claim that he’s made a decision, but he did deliver a game ball last week to Norv Turner for his win over the Pittsburgh Steelers…awkward.… Read more

According to USA Today Sports, the San Diego Chargers are so desperate to sell tickets that they used Groupon to help them try to sell out this Sunday’s game against the Panthers. Chargers waded into the land of discounted microdermabrasion treatments and half-priced speedboat tours this week by offering tickets for Sunday’s game on Groupon. The San Diego Chargers have placed defensive end Vaughn Martin and safety Darrell Stuckey on season-ending injured reserve.
To take their roster spots, the team re-signed running back Curtis Brinkley and added linebacker Gary Guyton.

It has also contributed to quite a few empty seats [...]

Those victories just came a little too late.
San Diego may enter Sunday still clinging to the slimmest hopes for a playoff berth as it hosts Carolina, which has already been eliminated.
The Chargers (5-8) lost four straight...
In the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-24 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday the defense did a good job of defending the Chargers rushing attack in the first half as they held running backs Ryan Mathews, Ronnie Brown and Jackie Battle to just 29 yards on 14 carries, with the longest run being the 9 yard run by Mathews on the first play of the Chargers first possession.
Below are the coverage stats for the Pittsburgh Steelers following their 34-24 loss Sunday to the San Diego Chargers. The completion percentage of 51% looks good on paper, as does the 4.88 yards per attempt, but when you factor in the Chargers were 12 for 22 (55%) on 3rd downs and Philip Rivers was 11-of-19 (57.9%) 118 yards with 2 touchdowns on 3rd down, you can clearly see why...
