Nostalgia: McNabb loses his lunch, Syracuse gets a 'little miracle'

Syracuse was such a punchline during four straight last place seasons under Greg Robinson, it's hard for younger fans to remember anything about the days when the Orange were men and the Big East was theirs for the taking. Miami was the nominal national power when the conference started playing football in 1993, but when the 'Canes slipped a notch in the mid-nineties, 'Cuse was there to pick up the slack with three straight championships from 1996-98 -- not coincidentally, years that concurred with the tenure of one Donovan McNabb, who started every game of his career, ran up a 23-5 record against the rest of the Big East and took SU to Fiesta and Orange bowls before going No. 2 in the '99 draft.
