Chargers Post:
In a move that was not unexpected, the San Diego Chargers have released special teams coach Steve Crosby. Head coach Norv Turner defended Crosby through the season, a season which special teams play cost the Chargers several games, but after 9 seasons with the Chargers, he was released.
Special teams play was woeful for the Chargers this season. San Diego had several blocked punts and kick coverage was just as inadequate. San Diego did suffer a season ending injury to long-snapper David Binn in week one, but adjustments that were made to offset his loss should have been better over the course of the next 15 games.
