Believe it or not, but the University of Miami actually broke NCAA rules when it came to their football program.
While that may not be surprising, it was a surprise to see that the program put numerous National Titles on the line for the likes of Jerome McDougle, Antonio Dixon, and Graig Cooper.
According to an outstanding report by Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports, McDougle, Dixon and Graig Cooper were among the list of over 100 former Hurricanes who were given improper benefits during their time at Miami.
McDougle may be the highest profile Eagle to be named, as the former first round pick once was highly regarded among the Eagles coaching staff. McDougle apparently received a $700 dollar TV, VIP access to clubs, cash, food, drinks, and a stay in one boosters $2.7 million dollar home.
Dixon, who is expected to start this season at defensive tackle for the Eagles, received similar benefits, but not to the extreme McDougle did. Dixon received free meals as well as VIP access...
