Found October 02, 2013 on The Giant Exiles:
Entering Week 5, the 2013 New York Giants are ravaged by injuries. They have so many injuries that it's almost hard to believe the percentage of players on the injury report: 28.3 percent! Every unit on defense has at least one member on the report, including almost 50 percent of the starting lineup. It's tough to imagine the Giants overcoming their 0-4 start with a healthy team, much less a team with this many injuries. So much of the Giants' game-plan relies on pressure from the defensive line. They expected a big bounce-back year from this unit. Not when you have these guys showing up on the injury report: Jason Pierre-Paul (back), Cullen Jenkins (knee/achilles), Linval Joseph (ankle/knee), and Shaun Rodgers (back). So that's three starters and a top backup if you're keeping score. The linebacking unit has their fair share of problems as well. The original starting middle linebacker, Dan Connor (neck) is out for the year. His backup, Mark He...

Giants counting on brotherly love to close gap in NFC East

If the New York Giants have any chance of salvaging this season, it sounds like the team believes it will have to pin their slim hopes on the broad shoulders of a Manning or two. If there was ever a good time for Giants quarterback Eli Manning to cash in on a family favor — it couldn't have come at a better time than this weekend. As the Oh-and-four Giants regroup after...

Antrel Rolle says he doesn’t think all his teammates believe they can win

Giants safety Antrel Rolle admitted that he doesn’t think everyone believes they can turn things around this season after a dreadful 0-4 start. “No, I really don’t,” he said. “Honestly speaking, I really don’t believe that everyone believes we can win within our locker room.” Rolle says he’s trying to get everyone on the same page. “There’s guys that haven’t...

Tom Rock of Newsday reports that Giants G Chris Snee‘s hip tear is impacting his ability to move his leg. Snee played through a hip injury for a few years before undergoing surgery this offseason, but he unfortunately injured his other hip. “This one has the pain, but he can’t move,” a source told Newsday. “If they don’t get the joint to move again, [surgery] is probably...

Will the Giants Make the Playoffs?

Antrel Rolle thinks the Giants can still make the playoffs despite their 0-4 start. He may be a little crazy considering only one 0-4 team has ever made the playoffs, but he may also have a point. The Giants are only two games behind the Cowboys and have one left to play against them. That means in the eleven other games they must make up at least one game on the Cowboys....

Rolle doesn't think everyone in Giants’ locker room believes team can win

It was the most scathing statement from Antrel Rolle's weekly WFAN radio spot even if he didn't intend it to be . The Giants safety continued his "Believe" campaign on Tuesday reiterating that the Giants can win once they believe they can win. But does the team believe it can win? Rolle does but he couldn't say for sure that all of his teammates do. "...

Antrel Rolle: Not Everyone in the Locker Room Believes in Big Blue

Antrel Rolle may be among the most positive Giants remaining in the locker room, but a brutally honest comment by Rolle may reveal part of the reason why the Giants have been off to a horrible start to the season. During his weekly radio interview with WFAN, Rolle stated that not everyone in the locker room believes in the Giants this year. Per New York Daily News: "...

Giants Sign Offensive Lineman Reynolds

With injuries to David Baas and Chris Snee, the Giants needed to get some support for their offensive line. Reynolds comes to Giants via the Philadelphia Eagles. It's always a great thing when you can...

Canty thought Tuck should worry about more important things: “Justin needs to worry about punching opposing...

2013 Season Week 5 Picks

The 1-3 Eagles travel to Jersey to take on the 0-4 Giants. Well, if this isn’t the battle of the pee-wees, I don’t know what is. The Eagles beat a 1-2 team, and lost to a 2-2 team…and two 4-0 teams. The Giants lost to those same two 4-0 teams (pattern here?), plus a 2-2 team and a 1-2 team. Hey, at least the Eagles *beat* our 1-2 team. I know the Giants are desperate for...
