New York Jets guard Brandon Moore is bothered about being part of the play that has now defined the Jets’ miserable 4-7 season.

That’s the one where Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez ran into Moore’s butt on Thanksgiving Day. Sanchez fumbled and the New England Patriots scored a touchdown. Final score of the Jets massacre: 49-19.

“It’s the weirdest play I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot of plays over my time in football,” Moore told ESPNNewYork.com during a reflective locker room chat.

Moore had no idea the butt fumble was such a big deal until he read about it on the Internet. He watched the replay at home.

“The littlest things nowadays turn into Internet sensations. It’s not surprising.” Moore said. And he’s bothered by the cheeky notoriety.

“Yeah, to be part of something like that — it’s not something you want to be part of,” Moore said.

New York Jets – Rex Won’t Break Link To Sanchez’s Failures

Anyone who has witnessed the Jets play over their first eleven games can attest to the fact that Mark Sanchez lacks a quality supporting cast and knows that Rex Ryan has tried in vain to talk up, and coach up an undermanned team. If the Jets tank at any point during the final stretch of five winnable games though, Ryan must acknowledge that part of the problem this season has been...

Sanchez likes Jets' playoff chances

There are plenty of negative things to say about Mark Sanchez as a quarterback, but you can't discount his optimism. Mark Sanchez: “Love our chances”

Oh boy. It seems that New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez has been dipping into the Kool-Aid that his head coach enjoys. It must also be spiked with some something pretty strong. Jets Fans Dropping F-Bombs On Players During Halftime Of Thanksgiving Blowout

Rex 'cherishes' first NFL experience with Cardinals

Regardless of what you may think of Rex Ryan as head coach of the New York Jets, the guy has a pretty impressive coaching resume.
