Next Wednesday, the New York Jets will MUST LIKELY make a decision on their wide receiver Santonio Holmes, as it's being reported that the team could save $15 million, based on a clause in the five-year $45 million contract he signed before the season started, by releasing Holmes.ESPN New York is reporting that team officials have said Holmes, whose off-season rift with Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez became more public at the end of the season, will be on the team next season.If the Jets wanted to release Holmes, they would have to do so by Wednesday, February 8th, to avoid having to pay Holmes $15 million in guarantee money.As of now, Holmes is guarantee $7.75 million in guarantee money for the 2012-2013 NFL season.
