Head coach of the New York Jets Rex Ryan is claiming that the Jets top wide receiver Santonio Holmes may have broken his ribs in Saturday night’s Green and White scrimmage.
According to Newark Star-Ledger, Holmes walked off the field with a trainer, as he wasn’t wearing his jersey after the scrimmage. Ryan says that Homes was hit in the ribs after a catch.
It appears that the play, which Holmes was injury on, was the final catch, for seven yards, after he was drilled by cornerback Antonio Cromartie.
“I don’t know if Santonio did break a rib or not, but the fact it as sticking out of his thing was prob an indicator, but again, I’m sure he’ll be fine,” Ryan said.
