95. G Tony Bergstrom C+The Raiders needed a guard. In fact, it might have been their most pressing need because Cooper Carlisle is 35 in August and was only resigned to 1 year, veteran minimum deal. However, I had Bergstrom much lower than this on my board.129. OLB Miles Burris CThe Raiders lost Kamerion Wimbley this offseason so they need a tweener defensive end/outside linebacker type, but Burris was much lower than this on my board.158. DE Jack Crawford BI guess they could use another pass rusher, but they had other needs and this is a tad early for Crawford.168. WR Juron Criner AThis is a great steal. Wide receiver wasn’t a need at all, but Criner is a good receiver who could provide value immediately as a 4th receiver. He could end up being a starter someday. I had a 3rdround grade on him.189. DT Christo Bulukidi C+Interestly, Bulukidi was the first player off the board that I had never heard of. It took until the 6thround. This was a pretty big reach, given that, but they coul...

The Oakland Raiders have parted ways with longtime scout Jon Kingdon, according to a report by Jerry McDonald of the Bay Area News Group. Kingdon had worked for the Raiders for 33 years.
It is rumored that new Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie is interested in hiring his former Tennessee teammate Joey Clinkscales to fill Kingdon’s position. Clinkscales currently works as a personnel...
It’s tough to grade a team with no draft picks, so to make it simple I’ll focus solely on how the Oakland Raiders used the picks they had and ignore the questionable trades that got them here.
With their first selection in the 3rd round the Raiders reached to fill a need. Tony Bergstrom will be given an opportunity to compete for a starting job, but he offers only a limited upgrade...
Offensive tackle Ed Wang signed with the Raiders. A fifth-round pick by Buffalo in 2010, he has played in just six career games due to injuries and was waived from injured reserve after reaching an injury settlement in November. Wang was the first Chinese-American player drafted (Virginia Tech) into the NFL. With the Raiders, he will compete for a backup spot behind left tackle...

Quarterback Matt Leinart signed with the Raiders. A seventh-year veteran, Leinart spent the past two seasons with the Houston Texans before being released in March. In Oakland, he's expected to be Carson Palmer's primary backup - a role he is familiar with. Palmer and Leinart both won the Heisman Trophy at Southern California, with Leinart one of Palmer's backups in...
ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) -- Matt Leinart is back in a familiar role as Carson Palmer's backup at quarterback.

Leinart reached the deal after working out for the Raiders to show that he has fully recovered from a broken left...
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, free agent quarterback Matt Lainart will be signing with the Oakland Raiders to back up Carson Palmer.
Leinart ironically enough served as Palmer’s back up when they were both at USC.
While Palmer flourished in the NFL for the first few years of his career, Leinart has been a big disappointment, but should be a good back up for the Raiders.

When Carson Palmer won the Heisman Trophy in 2002 at USC, Matt Leinart was his backup.
Now Leinart returns to California and will once again back up the Raiders’ starting signal-caller.

This addition makes perfect sense for the new regime...
