Found October 31, 2013 on The Football Fan Spot:
Last week: 30 (+1) Record: 3-4 Aside from his NFL record 93-yard quarterback run, Terrelle Pryor struggled against the Steelers, who are one of the best defenses he’s faced this season, completing 10 of 19 for 92 yards and 2 interceptions. We know he can run, but his struggles in his last two games against the Chiefs’ and the Steelers’ defenses have to be concerning for the Raiders going forward. He’s still being evaluated as a franchise quarterback and I think the Raiders have other things to focus on other than the quarterback position this off-season so I think they should bring him back for his contract year in 2014, but his long-term future remains cloudy. Have the Raiders finally found a quarterback to build around?

It has been anything but “Pride and Poise” for the Oakland Raiders. Since 2000 the Raiders have had 16 different starting quarterbacks. From the failed acquisition of Matt Flynn and Carson Palmer to the disastrous selection of Jamarcus Russell, the Raiders haven’t had the best luck at the most important position in football. Is it safe to say maybe the Raiders have finally...

PHOTO: Oakland Raiders 'I Got Pryors' T-shirt

Even as Giants fan, I need one of these bad boys. Get it? This Raiders “I Got Pryors” tee might be the most perfect use of wordplay we’ve ever seen. The Raiders players and fans are notorious for run-ins with the law, and now they got one Terrelle Pryor(s). Just perfect. Thanks to BlackSportsOnline for pointing us in the right direction to find Gary Althiser, who tweeted a...

Fantasy football: Mid-season All-Disappointment, All-Surprise Teams

Through eight full weeks of the 2013 NFL season, football fans have already seen more than their fair share of surprises. The Jacksonville Jaguars are (gasp!) 0-8. The Cleveland Browns have already started three different quarterbacks – making that 20 different starting signal-callers for the franchise since its 1999 reincarnation. And Peyton Manning has had no trouble molding...

Oakland Raiders: Is Terrelle Pryor “Regressing”?

According to Adam Kaplan of ESPN’s NFL Insiders, the jury is still very much out on Terrelle Pryor. In an interview on 95.7 FM The Game, Kaplan expressed serious doubts about the viability of Pryor as the future quarterback of the Oakland Raiders: .@caplannfl had some real talk about Pryor saying “he has regressed” but believes Denarius Moore can be a number 1

Oakland Raiders: Terrelle Pryor is Long-Term Solution at QB

Wow.That was my reaction when I saw the magnificant 93-yard touchdown run by Terrelle Pryor against the Steelers last week. Not only did he completely fool the defense, but he also managed to outrun the entire Pittsburgh secondary.Easier said than done, but I will try not to let that run cloud my vision as I answer a very frequently asked question: Should Terrelle Pryor be Oakland...

Oakland Raiders Awesome T-Shirt “I Got Pryors” (Photo)

This shirt, courtesy of Pro Football Focus Fantasy’s Gary Althiser (@PFF_Gary), is hysterical on so many levels. When you think of fan bases that might be heavy on the criminal records, Oakland has to leap to the forefront. It also works considering the trouble (albeit non-criminal) Terrelle Pryor got into at THE Ohio State University. And the fact that it is grammatically incorrect...

Terrelle Pryor Presents Tough Task for Eagles Defense

The Eagles defense has markedly improved in recent weeks, allowing just 18.25 points per game but will be put to the test by Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor. Photo Courtesy: Terrelle Pryor won't be the first multi-threat quarterback to line up against the Philadelphia Eagles defense this season.  On September 9th Robert Griffin III made his return against the Eagles...

Woodley Not To Blame For Failing To Contain Pryor On Long TD Run

During his talk with the media on Wednesday, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley said that it wasn't his responsibility to contain Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor on the 93-yard touchdown run to start the game. According to him, he was responsible for the dive back. Woodley acknowledges that it wasn't his responsibility to contain Pryor on 93 TD. Was...

Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots: Three Bold Predictions

The Week 9 matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots features teams at opposite ends of the "having a good season" scale. The Steelers are currently 2-5 and bottom of the AFC North following last week's defeat to the Oakland Raiders and Terrelle Pryor's record-breaking 93-yard touchdown run, whereas the Patriots are 6-2 and sitting pretty...

Week 9 Fantasy Football Preview: Eagles at Raiders

The 3-5 Philadelphia Eagles will head to northern California to face off against the 3-4 Oakland Raiders. This contest will mark the second time Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly will face Terrelle Pryor as the opposing team’s quarterback.Pryor led the Ohio State Buckeyes to an upset victory over Kelly’s Oregon Ducks in the 2010 Rose Bowl, earning MVP honors along the...

Philadelphia Eagles at Oakland Raiders: Three Bold Predictions

The Philadelphia Eagles entered the season under the new Chip Kelly regime, riding a wave of excitement, which had been building ever since his first day news conference. In an intriguing matchup in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins, they took the NFL by storm, marching up and down the field with ease and confidence, two traits that have been missing ever since. On the other hand...

Eagles-Raiders Preview

The Oakland Raiders are hoping to make a push toward the playoffs, though it won't come easy if their offense continues to vanish after halftime. Thanks in part to their instability at quarterback, the Philadelphia Eagles are having trouble producing any offense at all after a hot start. Now the Eagles will turn back to Nick Foles, who will try to make the most of another chance...

Raiders vs. Steelers: 3 Observations

In a game that was ultimately much closer than it should have been, the Raiders bested Pittsburgh 21-18, improving to 3-4 on the season. The Steelers, who had been on a roll in recent weeks, now fall to 2-5. While the Raiders are a young team still learning how to close out games, it appears as if Pittsburgh's window is closing quickly.Oakland got off to a fast start, with Terrelle...
