MVN:
At the end of the 2006 season, one thing was certain, the Oakland Raiders had no offensive line. After letting up an astronomical and league high 72 sacks during the year, the entire offensive coaching staff was replaced. Even longtime Raiders player and coach, Fred Biletnikoff, retired leaving the newly hired Lane Kiffin a clean slate in which to put together his own offensive coaching staff.Even the most ardent fan was skeptical about the offensive line going into the preseason, and with good reason. Besides signing a hobbling former Pro Bowl center who hadn't played a full season in three years, only a couple of average journeymen along with roster fillers and a project draft pick were added to the competition.
