60 Max Power O:
When the Oakland Raiders take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in week three, they must clean up the mistakes in all phases of the game especially the rushing offense and defense. Several glaring shortcoming have come to the forefront in the first two games. With the team starring down a 0-3 start to the season, film study will be the crutches of the Raiders' preparation.
“We’ve got to look at ourselves, each and every guy, offense, defense and special teams,” Quarterback Carson Palmer said. “Just one win gives you that confidence and gets that bad taste out of your mouth. This team can catch fire; this team’s explosive enough to catch fire. It starts with one win and we’re looking to do that once we get back home to play in front of our fans.”
One of the biggest concerns for the Raiders is their lack of running game. In the first two games of the season, Oakland has rushed for 45 and 23 yards on only 34 total attempts. The lack of tries is partially due to being d...

For the second straight week, not only the Oakland Raiders came away with a loss, but also with important additions to the injury report. Right tackle Khalif Barnes and cornerback Shawntae Spencer, both starters, were not able to finish the game against Miami. Barnes has a groin injury and Spencer, a right ankle sprain. According [...]
With very little fanfare, it was reported over the weekend that the Oakland Raiders had restructured Tommy Kelly’s contract to free up cap space for the 2012 season. Bryan McIntyre first reported it on Yahoo’s Shutdown Corner although the Raiders have yet to officially announce the move. This is a move that had been much [...]
The Oakland Raiders were beat in every aspect of the game Sunday afternoon against the Miami Dolphins, losing 35-13. The Dolphins were able to gain 452 total yards, 263 coming on the ground. The loss puts the Raiders is an 0-2 hole to begin the season.
Miami took possession and drove 80 yards on their first series capped off by a Ryan Tannehill two yard touchdown. The Raiders...
Oakland, CA. Fans who follow the Oakland Raiders had to feel a sense of optimism heading into the 2012 season. For the first time in many years, the QB situation seemed to be solidified, with the mid-season signing of Carson Palmer last season. The team finished 2011 at 8-8, and showed at times they could compete at a fairly high level. The offense was bringing back stud running...

I called this team overrated before the season and said they were one of the worst teams in the league and an ugly 35-13 loss to the Dolphins is making that look pretty good. The new regime has a lot of promise, but they inherited a mess, an 8 win team (with a Pythagorean Expectation of 6 wins for stat nerds) that was above the cap and didn’t have...
The Oakland Raiders are still waiting to get their new era off the ground.
With star running back Darren McFadden still looking to find his groove in a new system, a run defense that has as many holes as ever and a rebuilt secondary that was unable to frustrate a rookie quarterback, the Raiders are off to their first 0-2 start since Lane Kiffin's debut season in 2007.
Raiders halfback Darren McFadden was removed from Sunday's game versus the Dolphins after getting poked in the eye.Fantasy Spin:This doesn't look like anything serious and McFadden should be back in the game soon.
Raiders receiver Denarius Moore (hamstring) looked fine in warm-ups and coach Dennis Allen said the receiver will get significant playing time in Week 2. Moore missed Week 1 with a hamstring injury.Fantasy Spin:Moore could have a big day if he doesn't experience pain in his hamstring early in the game but we'd advise you to use a less risky option this week.
Oakland Raiders long snapper Jon Condo is active for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins after missing practice this week with a concussion.
The Raiders botched three punts in Monday's loss to San Diego after Condo left the game with his injury.
Receiver Juron Criner (ankle) is inactive.
Linebacker Rolando McClain and running back Taiwan Jones are active after being...
Who wants to see a fight in a bathroom at an Oakland Raiders game? Here is a video of guys in the bathroom getting mad because one fan decided to cut the line and use the stall instead of waiting his turn. This supposedly happen at the Raiders vs Chargers game last Monday night.
Like many other fellow fantasy owners out there I too drafted Chris Johnson and have since second-guessed that pick. On most draft boards Johnson was a top 5 back, who was coming off a preseason that made everyone believe he was back in 2010 form when he ran for 1,364 yards and 11 touchdowns. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case thus far in 2012, and Johnson has been putting...
Oakland Raiders – 13, Miami Dolphins – 35It certainly looks like the Raiders are going to be behind a lot, which means a lot of garbage time yards and scores for Carson Palmer (380 total yards, 1 TD, 1 INT). He’s going to be worth starting at some point, and very well could be a top 15 QB this year in terms of fantasy stats.Like Weeden and Luck, Ryan Tannehill (214 yards...
The mood certainly is different on the off day this week after the Dolphins' impressive 35-13 victory over the Oakland Raiders in Sunday's home opener at Sun Life Stadium. Before the Dolphins begin their preparations for Sunday's game against the Jets, let's take one final look at the Oakland game.
Week 2 saw Oakland and Kansas City still failing to impress while San Diego showed why they should be on the top in the AFC and Denver just fell apart. This article summarizes the five lessons learned from this weekend in the AFC West. Despite Lots of Passing Yards, Oakland Cannot Score TouchdownsOakland quarterback Carson Palmer did two things in Week 2 exactly the same way he did...
