The Oakland Raiders have signed offensive lineman Nick Howell and released fullback Tre'Shawn Robinson to make room for the signing. Howell is expected to provide depth during training camp with little chance to make the final roster.

Howell was signed by the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent after the 2010 NFL Draft. The 6-5, 300 pound offensive tackle out of USC did not make the Titans and bounced around to the 49ers and Saints, before getting his chance with the Raiders.

To make room for Howell, the Raiders released full back Tre'Shawn Robinson. Robinson was signed as an undrafted free agent this May out of Idaho. After fullback Marcel Reece signed his tender to come back to the Raiders for 2012 and the team signed Owen Schmitt as a free agent, Robinson's time as a Raider was running out.

The Raiders will start a three day mandatory mini-camp Tuesday June 12 through Thursday June 14, followed by training camp in late July.

4 Keys to Deciding the AFC West

1. Chemistry in Denver: They got their guy. The only question left is whether or not the likes of Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas can speak his language. If they pick up Peyton’s system, watch out. If they cannot, Denver’s season will be in trouble early on. 2. Oakland’s youth movement: There has been a [...]

Oakland Raiders QB Terrelle Pryor Making Progess Day in and Day Out

Oakland Raiders back-up quarterback Terrelle Pryor is showing improvement and progression at organized team activities. Raiders head coach Dennis Allen likes the development he has seen out of Pryor. “I think he did like a lot of guys out here today,” Allen said. “I think he had some good plays and I think he had some bad plays. That’s to be expected this time of year...

Denarius Moore is the Raiders #1 receiver?

According to the Contra County Times, it is Denarius Moore and not Darrius Heyward-Bey who will be the Raiders’ #1 receiver next season. This might sound strange because Heyward-Bey led the team in receiving by a large margin last season (64/975/4 as opposed to 33/618/5). However, Moore was just a rookie and played just 13 games. He also actually outgained Heyward-Bey down the...

Raider rookie gets out of traffic ticket

Everyone raise your hands if you've ever heard of Christo Bilukidi. Ok, me neither. But he apparently has some pull on the streets of Oakland. The sixth round pick from Georgia State got out of a traffic ticket because he mentioned that he was an Oakland Raider. Didn't the cop know that he was Christo Bilukidi and not Darren McFadden? I guess not. Bilukidi released his...
