The Oakland Raiders have signed wide receiver and return specialist Roscoe Parrish, the team announced today. He is on the practice field as the Raiders prepare for their final preseason game Thursday night at Seattle. With the injuries at the wide receiver position to Denarius Moore (hamstring) and Jacoby Ford (foot), who also handled the punt and kickoff return duties respectively, Parrish has a chance to help the Raiders in both areas. Parrish was a second round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2005 out of the University of Miami (Fla). He played seven seasons for the Bills where he caught 134 balls for 1502 yards and seven touchdowns in 77 games and 14 starts. He has returned 29 kickoffs in his career averaging 23.6 yard per return. His best NFL skill is punt returning where he has amassed 134 career returns and three touchdowns. The Raiders special teams, in particular both kickoff and punt returning, has been poor. Oakland’s best kickoff return this preseason came from Jaco...
