Oakland Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie and head coach Dennis Allen made it through the first week 2013 NFL Free Agency without making any major moves on the open market, but did manage to strengthen the struggling pass rush. Former Chicago Bears outside linebacker Nick Roach signed a multi-year contract with compensation ranging from $3 to $4 million per season, the team announced Friday morning.  Roach comes off a career year, racking up 66 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 4 passes deflected and one forced fumble in 2012.  He also collected 15 tackles against the Arizona Cardinals near the end of the season and could replace Rolando McClain. Kevin Burnett, another free agent linebacker who was recently recently by the Miami Dolphins, was also added to the Raiders’ new linebacker corps on Sunday.  The 6-3, 240-pound inside linebacker has appeared in 120 contests (59 starts) and totaled 523 tackles with 17.5 sacks, seven forced fumbles and four interceptions (returned for 104 yards and t...

Raiders Sign DT Vance Walker

Vic Tafur reports that the Oakland Raiders have signed free agent DT Vance Walker on Monday. Walker, 25, was with the Falcons last season and was actually a pretty solid player for them. He’s much better run defender than an interior pass-rusher. The Raiders have already lost Desmond Bryant to the Browns and it’s unlikely that Richard Seymour will be re-signed. Add in fact...

Nobody was injured and the Raiders’ facility at 1220 Harbor Bay Parkway never was threatened by the blaze, which...

Raiders Sign LB Kevin Burneet

The Oakland Raiders have announced the signing of free agent LB Kevin Burnett. Burnett, 30, was recently released by the Dolphins as the worked to revamp their linebacking corps. We had Burnett listed as...

A look at how the Raiders defense is coming together thus far
