St. Louis Rams
San Diego Chargers
For the first time since week 17 against the San Diego Chargers, the Oakland Raiders put on the pads today at training camp. With the contact practice, the Raiders' defensive line was able to show their depth and ability to rush the quarterback.
Rookie defensive end Jack Crawford, who the Raiders drafted in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft, showed his ability to disrupt plays in the backfield. On two different occasions, the 6-5, 275 pound Crawford was able to beat his man and get into the backfield for what would have been a sack. Richard Seymour and Matt Shaughnessy were also able to show pass rush ability. One area to clean up on the defensive front is jumping offsides.
“I’ve been pleased with Jack. Jack is obviously a young player, so he’s still learning the game, but he’s a big guy that’s got athleticism and he wants to be good,” Raiders head coach Dennis Allen said. “I think if you’ve got athleticism and you’ve got some football instincts and you’re willing to ...

What’s up RaiderNation? In case you hadn’t heard by now, Juron Criner has signed a four year contract with the Oakland Raiders. Rookie defensive end Jack Crawford is just trying to find a way to make the 53-man roster and took a huge step toward doing just that Wednesday by spending a great deal of time in the backfield, frustrating offensive linemen and harassing the quarterback. Defensive players are prohibited from touching quarterbacks in practice. However, its safe to say that Crawford would have sacked...
All present and accounted for. That was the report by Raiders coach Dennis Allen as he prepared for his first training camp practice as a head coach. The last transaction was the signing of fifth-round draft pick Juron Criner, the final non-first-round pick in the league to sign. "You never know what's going to happen in those negotiations but we felt pretty good all...
Oakland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey doesn't put much stock in the numbers he put up last season, even though he had career highs in catches, yards and touchdowns.
Raiders coach Dennis Allen isn't a big statistics guy, either. He'd prefer to see production on the scoreboard and in the standings.
Still, it's hard to ignore the progress Heyward-Bey made last...
Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer lofted a tight spiral deep down the right sideline and appeared to have an easy completion to Darrius Heyward-Bey before cornerback DeMarcus Van **** came in to break up the pass and knock the receiver to the ground.
A day earlier, Van **** spent much of the morning jamming receivers at the line of scrimmage.
It's all part of Van ****'s...

“I think he’s doing exceptional,” Raiders head coach Dennis...
Oakland Raiders wideout Denarius Moore sat out Wednesday's practice with a slight hamstring injury.Fantasy Spin:Like any rookie, Moore was inconsistent last season, but two of his three big games came after Carson Palmer assumed the starting quarterback role. With a full training camp together, this combination could be very dangerous. Sports Network projects a healthy Moore...
Rumors are flying of a potential fit between the Oakland Raiders and free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress. It would be surprising if the Raiders took a chance on Burress due to the depth, youth, and talent the team already has at wide receiver. However, the Raiders should always kick the tires on a player if they feel he has a chance to help the team.
Burress also comes with...
A man whose nickname is the “The Wiz” conjures up ideas of the man being known for being smart, magical and or being a performer in the 1978 urbanized retelling of the “Wizard of Oz”. Those terms will often refer to a happy ending to the man with that nickname. However Steve Wisniewski is known [...]

Al Davis is gone and a completely new regime is in charge. New GM Reggie McKenzie was hired this offseason and fired Hue Jackson, their previous Head Coach, replacing him with new Head Coach Dennis Allen.
