Last month the Oakland Raiders selected wide receiver Juron Criner in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Since then, Criner has been impressive in both the Raiders rookie mini–camp and the offseason team activities. Carson Palmer has noticed and is advising Criner along the way.

After the OTAs this week, Criner spoke about the relationship he and Palmer have developed and what Palmer is doing to help him along the way.

“He has been bringing me along,” Criner said. “He said he has seen plenty of young guys that show up and think they've arrived then start to fade out.
