There has yet to be a person of able body and sound mind who didn't occasionally need a dash of humility.
Receivers just seem to need bucketfuls.
Javon Walker was almost humbled this offseason until he found free-agent savior Al Davis.
Brandon Marshall was humbled by Jay Cutler, who was humbled by John Elway, who presumably is humbled whenever he peeks at the Arena Football League financial ledgers.
It's always something. Speaking of which, there's the monument to self-abasement, the self-proclaimed Ocho Cinco. Once known as Chad Johnson, the Cincinnati Bengals mega-talented receiver is unhappy.
Why? Carson Palmer is his quarterback, so that can't be it. Johnson says his discontent stems from the Bengals' apparent direction away from becoming a Super Bowl contender — which would be believable if his public complaints didn't coincide with the relatively low-paid salary year on his contract.
