Odell Beckham Jr. Could Be Close To Signing With New Team
Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Odell Beckham Jr. is still out there on the free-agent market, but he could be zeroing in on a new home.

The veteran wide receiver has taken to social media to say goodbye to the Baltimore Ravens, with whom he spent the 2023 campaign.

“Swea on everything I appreciate the Flock more than yall could EVER imagine,” Beckham posted on his Instagram account. “Did everything I could wit the opportunities I had. Wish I got to do it big for yall. Thank you for the Vibez! To the City of Baltimore I (expletive) wit yall forever FRRRR. And most importantly to my brothers over there this (expletive) a lifetime sentence, I love yall!”

So, either Beckham is close to signing elsewhere, or the Ravens have simply told him that they will not be bringing him back for 2024.

Beckham signed a one-year dal with Baltimore last offseason. In 14 games with the club this past year, he logged a rather modest 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

The 31-year-old was expected to serve as the team’s No. 2 receiver behind Zay Flowers, but as you can tell from the numbers, he was a fairly significant disappointment.

Beckham, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the New York Giants with the 12th overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft.

He spent the first five years of his career with the Giants and was on an incredible trajectory over his first few seasons, making the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL campaigns.

His best season came in 2015, when he hauled in 96 receptions for 1,450 yards and 13 touchdowns.

New York then traded Beckham to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, but he underwhelmed in two-and-a-half seasons with the Browns, posting one 1,000-yard season before being released in November 2021.

Beckham linked up with the Los Angeles Rams for the remainder of that season and ended up winning a Super Bowl with the squad. He sat out all of 2022 before joining the Ravens.

We’ll see where Odell Beckham Jr. ends up for next season. Perhaps news of his new home will be breaking soon.
