1. Wide receiver The Miami Dolphins have survived with Brian Hartline and Davone Bess, who have developed into quality second and third options. But Ryan Tanneshill needs a true No. 1 receiver to help him develop into the quarterback the Dolphins believe he can be. Ideally, the Dolphins can land a tall, outside receiver to complement Bess, who excels in the slot. 2. Defensive end The Dolphins have been playing Jared Odrick out of position at defensive end when he would be better suited to play the three-technique tackle position. Cameron Wake is an elite pass rusher, but replacing Odrick with a more traditional end. 3. Offensive line If Jake Long isn’t re-signed, this need jumps to No. 1. Jonathan Martin struggled as a rookie at right tackle and the Dolphins can’t afford to shift him to left tackle. In fact, they should probably consider a shift inside to guard.

Miami Dolphins 2013 defensive draft needs

The Miami Dolphins 2013 defensive draft needs are quite simple, if the Dolphins are open to moving Jared Odrick to the interior. Your defense is only as good as your front four or five, and the Dolphins can make that group better in 2013. Randy Starks...

Miami stadium upgrades could hinge on Super Bowl

MIAMI (AP) -- Even if voters approve using tax money to help upgrade the Miami Dolphins' stadium, a deal might be contingent on the NFL awarding the 2016 Super Bowl to the city. The Dolphins confirmed Monday they've reversed their position and agreed to a referendum. A no vote would scuttle the plan. Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez says that should the measure pass...

Welker to Dolphins?

A recent NFL.com article suggests that when/if Wes hits the open market he will be back in sunny South Beach with the team who traded him to the Patriots in 2007. Since, Welker has torn up Miami's D and the rest of the NFL and emerged as the premier slot receiver in the game.
