Oher tries to end war of words with Allen

Baltimore Ravens rookie offensive tackle Michael Oher apparently is putting an end to his verbal battle with Vikings defensive end Jared Allen. "It's just a big misunderstanding," Oher said, according to a story posted on the National Football Post. "That guy's a great player. I have nothing but respect for that guy. "He's doing a great job," Oher said. "He was definitely a challenge and I've got nothing but respect. We got into it during the game and it got kind of emotional, but it's over now." That's a dramatic change of tone, after Oher told the Carroll County Times Sunday that "there's really nothing special about him," referring to Allen.
