What is it like seeing a room of grown men go nuts after an 18-year old kid makes a statement behind a podium? This is “National Signing Day” at its best…or worst…or whichever adjective you choose to label it. Ole Miss has gathered a top ten recruiting class in the country according to most and it was capped off with Robert Nkemdiche, a defensive end from Georgia.
Nkemdiche chose the Rebels over Florida and LSU and made the announcement in front of ESPN cameras early Wednesday. You would have thought that Ole Miss won the national championship with their coaches’ reaction. Sure, they landed their school’s biggest recruit since Eli Manning, but the jubilation may have been was a bit much.
