Omar Minaya Addresses Our Concerns

This morning at 8:05 AM, Omar Minaya was a guest of Boomer and Carton on WFAN. Carton asked Omar to address the fans' desire for Manny Ramirez. I've been pretty clear this year that we would set out to improve our bullpen and our starting pitching. I feel very good about where we are right now. We're ready to go with this team. I did speak to Scott Boras after the Oliver Perez press conference, but I believe this is a good team, and this is the team we're going with. Boomer tells Omar he feels the bottom of the lineup is very weak. It's a good point, but when you put a team together, you're not going to have everything you wish for. I think we're going to find ways to improve our club by looking at some smaller pieces that are still out there. There are many good players that are willing to sign minor league deals.
