Ballertainment Members of Baltimore Ravens saluted by their fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Several member of this season’s Baltimore Ravens team are members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, founded at Howard University, November 17, 1911. Sunday, the Ravens won Super Bowl XLVII, and ‘Que Psi Phi” chose to honor its championship-winning members with a message from Grand Basileus, Dr. Andrew A. Ray, on its official website and Facebook page. (See photo above). Those Mighty Men of Omega are Bryan Hall, Ramon Harewood, Vonta Leach, Ray Lewis, Jacoby Jones, Bobbie Williams, and the team’s General Manager and Executive Vice-President, Ozzie Newsome. What I would have paid to see them “set it OWT,” on the field, after the game, while all that purple and gold confetti fell… I’m just sayin’. Below is video of fraternity member and Grammy Award winning artist/producer Kevin McCall singing Omega Psi Phi’s pledge song. Ballertain a friend... Jacoby Jones a bomb from Joe Flacco and fell down. NFL Super Bowl 47 review: The good, the bad, and the ugly

Concerning the Game: Overcoming a bad start, and nearly letting the game get away from them, the San Fransisco 49ers, lead by QB Colin Kaepernick, made a furious come back in the second half to get within several points of the Ravens.

Delanie Walker destroyed Jacoby Jones with hit

San Francisco 49ers tight end Delanie Walker had a very good game, particularly with his blocking and tackling on special teams.  After Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones opened the second half with a kick returner, Walker made sure that wasn’t going to happen again.  He absolutely leveled Jones on this return to keep him from making a big play.Related: Cary Williams...

Why Beyonce? Why not? As we recap the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII, here's five amazing stats to take away from the game.1. Jacoby Jones' 290 Total YardsWho saw this coming? Wednesday Morning Highlight: Kobayashi Downs Pizza in 60 Seconds

The Super Bowl brought us many moments of triumph. The Ravens’ Jacoby Jones broke a Super Bowl record for the longest kickoff return. Beyonce’s incredible performance blew us away and shut the stadium down for 30 minutes. But one of the moments that may have gone unnoticed was a true testament to talent and dedication. [...]

Flacco seizes moment on grand stage

Momentum is not actually a determining factor in sports. Nor is manifest destiny, at least not in the way Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis describes it with God wanting Baltimore to win and then making that outcome happen, by, I don't know, planting atrocious, goal-line pass plays in 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman's brain for that final decisive series. Nice work, God...

This Is All Your Fault, Rahim Moore

Thanks a lot. All you had to do was make a routine play on a desperation heave and Ray Lewis’ farewell holy deer antler stabquest would have ended quietly three weeks ago. But noooooooo, you had to be all out of position and let Jacoby Jones get behind you to score the tying touchdown when the Broncos had the Ravens beat. I would have gladly spent the last few weeks being told...

Super Bowl Blackout: You’re Welcome

Oh New Orleans, you did it again! In what would otherwise be considered a snoozer of a Super Bowl, you added a little color. (What? Black is a color!) Without that bizarre power outage in the dome in the 3rd quarter, the highlight of the game would have been Jacoby Jones’ touchdown dance a.k.a The Beanie Weenie. I mean, I guess the touchdown itself was cool but the dance? That...

Super Bowl 47 – Ravens vs. 49ers Pick Against the Spread

BALTIMORE RAVENS VS. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-3.5) The Super Bowl is finally here. I’m just thrilled to not have to watch the Patriots, Giants, or Steelers (all the teams that I cannot stand) again who seemed to have played in 8 of the last 10 Super Bowls collectively. This year I have two teams that I would want to see win the Super Bowl. That hasn’t happened since the Saints faced...

Super Bowl 47: Hero and Zero Of The Game

The confetti has settled on the Superdome carpet. The Baltimore Ravens take home the Lombardi Trophy, after a compelling 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers. It was a game full of incident, hard hits, some great individual moments and of the course the blackout. When Jacoby Jones returned the second half kickoff the Ravens looked to have pulled the plug on the Niners. The lights...
