On special teams, look for Bucs to use Spurlock, Stroughter over Parker

Bucs coach Raheem Morris reaffirmed his faith in Preston Parker this week, even after the second-year receiver committed two costly fumbles on special teams at Jacksonville last week. But when I asked Morris whether the Bucs will use someone other than Parker to return kicks and punts tonight against the Cowboys (which is what I have been told), he didn't exactly say no. Yes, it's true the Bucs have used Micheal Spurlock and Sammie Stroughter in addition to Parker on special teams, but Parker has been the primary punt returner for some time now. That does not appear to be the case any longer. "We've always used all those guys," Morris said. "So, it's probably not really making a change. It's more giving those guys more opportunities." Of course, the timing of those additional opportunities is almost certainly related to Parker's miscues last week. But Parker believes the problem can be easily addressed with a slightly different approach....
