Bucs Beat:
We told you earlier this week that suspended Bucs safety Tanard Jackson may not necessarily be reinstated right away and that there are no assurances regarding his return to the Buccaneers.
Although Jackson became eligible for reinstatement from his yearlong suspension on Thursday, there's been no comment from the NFL, the Bucs or Jackson's representatives. The league office told us this week it will have no comment on the story unless and until there is a change in Jackson's status.
What conclusions can we draw from any of this? It would be reckless to suggest anything, because there's just not enough information. Just keep in mind that this is and never was a slam dunk proposition, and there's no way to know whether Jackson will be reinstated and, furthermore, whether he'll be back in a Bucs uniform.
