The New England Patriots went into Washington and slugged it out with the Redskins for sixty minutes. The defense reverted back to being void of the ability to sustain fundamental football as Santana Moss (81 YDS, 1 TD) regularly beat Devin McCourty and was able to haul in a touchdown pass off a double reverse. Rex Grossman (252 YDS, 2 TD) got the “You’re a star QB today treatment” and the Patriots defense shone the spotlight. Roy Helu (126 YDS) was able to get loose outside and the Redskins had the track to victory. However, Tom Brady (357 YDS, 3 TD, 1 INT) and Rob Gronkowski (160 YDS, 3 TD) literally took the momentum in a two man show, but it wasn’t easy.

Patriots CB Devin McCourty is thankful for the support of teammates, who helped him fight through

The difficult season for Patriots CB Devin McCourty appeared to continue yesterday. He was burned harshly for a 51-yard reception by Donte’ Stallworth in yesterday’s 34-27 win over the Redskins, then he was beat again on WR Jabar Gaffney’s nine-yard TD. Ouch. Except, McCourty didn’t go away. Just the opposite. He deflected a key pass on second-and-8 in the third quarter and...

Tom Brady Deserved Tongue Lashing From Bill O'Brien and Other Leftover Patriots Thoughts

Unlike Charlie Weis and Josh McDaniels, Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien has always remained a relatively obscure name around the NFL. At least he had until Sunday afternoon. Getting in a shouting match with Tom Brady tends to blow your cover. In this case, O'Brien was absolutely, 100 percent, unequivocally right in his decision to step up against Brady, who had...

It just keeps happening and there is no explanation for the madness. The Denver Broncos and Tim Tebow have done it again and realistic MVP talks are underway.
