The one thing the Giants’ defense must stop is that they have to stop giving up so many points.  In watching them play this season, at times they have looked excellent stopping the run.  And at least against Carolina, they looked very good against the pass too, Matt Moore throwing ill-advised passes or not. But after three games, the Giants have allowed 85 points, which ranks them 30th, only ahead of Buffalo and San Francisco.  Last year, they gave up 427 points, also 30th in the NFL, and only ahead of Detroit and St. Louis.  The Lions have improved so far, only giving up 78 points through three games.  St. Louis, meanwhile, has yielded just 49 points, a huge improvement this early.  They are also coached by a guy named Steve Spagnuolo.  Remember him?
