I know some of you are fond of Football Outsiders, (as am I) so once the season gets underway and trends start developing, looking at an opponent’s rankings on Football Outsiders helps to give fans some perspective on the Jets opponent for this weekend and what to expect. (As a heads up, negative percentages are good on defense, bad on offense & specials) Pass Offense: 16.5% (18th) Rush Offense: 6.4% (10th) O-Line Ranking: Run 5th / Pass 22nd Analysis: While this might look like the Chargers offense is middling, looks can be deceiving.  With health issues to some of their key receivers (specifically Antonio Gates) the Jets are going to see a much more talented unit lining up most of the game against them than the Chargers have been able to field so far this season.  While their passing offense hasn’t been good, unless the Jets can stop their running game – it won’t matter.  The Chargers field one of the best one-two punches in the game with Matthews and Tolbert.  Matthews is ve...
