Over The Middle:  Top Five Fantasy Football Wide Receivers Week 11 Photo usatoday.com   We’ve got a few favorable matchups this week that could and should yield a good sum of points for you fantasy buffs.  Every defense has their strength and weaknesses, ideally we need to look at the ones who are weaker on the backend.  If by some chance you are not aware of who is or isn’t, well that’s exactly what I’m here for.  Anytime a team like Detroit or Washington plays take a look and see if you have a wide receivers playing against them, odds are it’s going to be a good play.  Now don’t get me wrong even good defenses occasionally have a bad day, need I remind you of what happened to Oakland a couple weeks ago.  What we need to figure out is just which team seems vulnerable enough to get you those few extra points, so you can celebrate at your friend’s expense. Photo: sonofwashington.com   Desean Jackson Philadelphia Eagles – I know the sexier pick would be Riley Cooper, he’s been tearing up opposing defenses.  But, it’s the lack of targets that worry me.  Jackson on the other hand is handsomely targeted, with five of his seven touchdowns coming from the hand of Nick Foles.  In their first meeting Jackson went for 104 yards and a touchdown.  Washington allows 32 points a game, I can’t imagine Jackson not finding the end zone at least once this week. Photo: mynorthwest.com T.Y. Hilton Indianapolis Colts – Ever since Reggie Wayne went down, Hilton has become the number one target for Andrew Luck.  Chiming in with 14 catches and three touchdowns in the two games since Wayne’s season ending injury, T.Y. has clearly taken over as the true number one.  Let us not forget to mention the practically non-existent running game, does Richardson still look worth the first round pick traded to get him?  That’s neither here nor there, oh yeah Indy is playing Tennessee who just gave Jacksonville their first win.  Indy coming off a butt-whooping with what I have to assume will be a bit of a mean streak.   This just sets up for a big passing day, T.Y. Hilton will be thankful. Photo: nfl.com Antonio Brown Pittsburgh Steelers – Brown hasn’t really been able to find the end zone, what he has done however is rack up the receptions and yardage.  If you’re in a PPR you have got to love this guy, leads the league in receptions and is 5th in yardage.  If he’s able to find the end zone he could very easily be the number one guy fantasy wise.  Pitted up against a Detroit team that has given up the 6th most yardage to opposing offenses.  Brown is the clear cut go to guy when Big Ben needs a big play, that’s not to say Sanders isn’t a good deep guy, but when push comes to shove it’s always Brown Roethlisberger looks for. Photo: hubarkush.com Alshon Jefferey Chicago Bears - Baltimore has given up 16 touchdowns this season, that’s good for 12th most in the league.  Also, four out of the last five weeks the Ravens have allowed a 100 yard receiver. With the Ravens geared to stop Forte in the run game and Marshall on the outside, Jefferey should be free to run one on one.  The key here is the fact that it seems Alshon is winning these one on ones as he has 12 receptions of 20+ yards, which puts him 3rd in the league in that category.  McCown has seemed comfortable back there and could be building good chemistry with the young wide out.  The mixture of the Ravens porous secondary and Jefferey’s big play ability, fantasy point heaven is abound. Photo: replayphotos.com A.J. Green Cincinnati Bengals – Does Andy Dalton love this guy or what?  Five straight games over 100 yards speak volumes to that.  I guess we’ll throw in the fact that Green is on pace for 190-200 targets for the season, 3rd best in the last decade.  If that isn’t enough to convince the most cynic of critics, how about that Hail Mary answered by none other than A.J. freaking Green.  I don’t think I need to convince anybody too much that this guy could possibly be a top five weekly performer.  The proof is in the pudding, week in and week out.   Follow us on Twitter! @DownandDistance Sports-Kings Down and Distance Contributor Ryan Alexander @BigSexXXy22 The post Over The Middle: Week 11 Top Five Fantasy Football Wide Receivers appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE - Presented by Sports-Kings.
