By Anthony Caruso III The Capital Sports Report Owner/Managing Editor/Sr. Writer The Temple Owls are expected to name a hew head coach as soon as Monday. The Owls are expected to fill their vacant head football coaching position by naming former assistant Matt Rhule to the position. He was on the Owls coaching staff for six seasons, before leaving this past this season to take a job with the New York Giants. Rhule reportedly beat out former Temple defensive coordinator Mark D’Onofrio. He left the Owls with former head coach Al Golden when he decided to take the Hurricanes job three years ago. Rhule is taking over a position that was formerly Steve Addazio’s. He decided to leave after two seasons as the Owls head coach to take the Boston College job. Addazio was 13-11 with the Owls. © 2007-2012 The Capital Sports Report. All rights reserved.
