The Packers on Saturday signed guard Greg Van Roten to their active roster, from the practice squad. The transaction was announced Saturday afternoon by general manager Ted Thompson. Van Roten is a 6-foot-3, 303-pound rookie out of Penn, and he had been on Green Bay's practice squad for the season's first five weeks. Van Roten originally signed with the Packers on June 25.
