Found May 04, 2013 on Packer Fans United:
It was an exciting post-draft week for the Green Bay Packers and their fans. Firstly, the Pack had, by most accounts, a successful draft overall. We gave it an A- and that seemed to be a popular grade among many if not most pundits. Yes, it could be argued the team needed to add a safety and didn't. Or a starting left tackle, and didn't. A few things like that brought down some people's opinion of the Pack's draft. But on the other hand, the Packers picked up arguably the best running back in the draft -- Eddie Lacy -- and, according to some others, the second best back, Johnathan Franklin. Barring injury, that duo could be the starting backfield along with fullback John Kuhn. Given the paucity of a Packers running game since the departure of Ryan Grant at least and, some might say, Ahman Green, these two picks alone will give a much-needed boost and variation to an offense that for the last few years has been far-too one dimensional. On the defensive side of the ball,...

The Packers awful defense let them down last year. Did they do enough to improve this year? NFL Predictions 1.0

The Packers Defense last season was terrible.  I predicted throughout the season that their defense was not good enough to win a Super Bowl.  Packers fans did not like that analysis and let me know it.  In the end, I was right.  Did they do enough this offseason to turn things around? I like the Packers to win all of their home games, sweeping their division, but their road...

Aaron Rodgers Took Numerous Pictures With the Ladies at the Kentucky Derby (Photos)

Obviously it doesn’t suck to be Aaron Rodgers these days. He’s come a long way from being that guy who sat in the green room at the NFL Draft with the vacant look on his face as he waited longer than he expected to be selected. Rodgers is now the highest paid player in the NFL, he’s considered by many including myself to be the best quarterback in the league, and the ladies...

Packers moving Brian Bulaga to left tackle

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Green Bay Packers are moving right tackle Brian Bulaga to the left side to replace Marshall Newhouse. The most noteworthy is that right tackle Bryan Bulaga is moving to the left side to be quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ blind-side protector, replacing last year’s starter Marshall Newhouse. In addition, the coaches have flipped guards...

Bulaga, Sitton moving to left side of Packers line

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- At the conclusion of last weekends NFL Draft, Packers coach Mike McCarthy was feeling confident about his left tackle position heading into next season. It was uncertain, however, with which player McCarthy had the most confidence in playing that important role of protecting quarterback Aaron Rodgers blind side. Its uncertain no longer. In a report by the Milwaukee...

Packers decided to overlook draftees' arrests

GREEN BAY, Wis. John Schneider once came across an NFL draft prospect's online profile photo in which the player was pictured with a pile of cocaine and several guns. The former Green Bay Packers executive and current Seattle Seahawks general manager marked that down as a red flag for obvious reasons. This is not that. On a scale of foolish things a college football player...

Packers Making Big Changes To Their Offensive Line

Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that the Packers are expected to move Bryan Bulaga from right tackle to left tackle this season. Silverstein adds that the Green Bay’s coaching staff will also flip Josh Sitton and T.J. Lang, so that Sitton is also playing on the left side of their offensive line. “I sat down with Bryan and Josh on Monday and I told...

Franklin Embraces Platform to Inspire

If fourth-round draft pick Johnathan Franklin is half as good on the field as he is off of it, he is destined for stardom. Franklin's journey with Datone Jones at the Senior Bowl speaks volumes about two of the Packers' top rookies.
