Pro Sports Daily:
Green Bay Packers cornerback Tramon Williams was fined $21,000 for his personal foul on Minnesota Vikings running back Toby Gerhart during Sunday's game. Television replays showed that Williams' helmet launched into Gerhart's helmet. Gerhart was considered a defenseless receiver on the play. It appeared that Williams was trying to hit Gerhart with his shoulder, according to ESPN Wisconsin. Williams said he would appeal the fine because he does not know what he could have done differently on the play.

As we head into the stretch run of the regular season, the Green Bay Packers and head coach Mike McCarthy seem to be preparing for both Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews to return to the line up next week against the Bears. McCarthy wanted both Woodson (collarbone) and Matthews (hamstring) in pads doing a limited amount of banging around because the team will not be in pads next...

Packers receiver Jordy Nelson missed every practice this week and is out for Week 14 against Detroit.Fantasy Spin:Green Bay has plenty of depth in the receiving corps, particularly with the return of Greg Jennings, so this injury shouldn't affect Aaron Rodgers' performance too drastically - just Nelson's fantasy owners.
Packers’ fans can attain to the understatement that Mason Crosby has not been very good this year.
Detroit Lions (4-8) at Green Bay Packers (8-4)
This is a really interesting game. Earlier this week, I wrote about some of the parity related things that happen every single year and how those could be used to help predict games the rest of the way. The Lions are by far the likeliest candidate to be this year’s team that goes from in the playoffs to 5 wins or fewer. Only the Saints...
There is nothing better in the NFL than a division rivalry game.
Ok, so it can get a little better.
There is nothing better in the NFL than a division game that features one of the league’s most storied franchises, the Green Bay Packers.
And, lucky me, I will be at the great Lambeau Field this weekend when the Packers welcome the Detroit Lions to the Frozen Tundra.
However, I won’t...
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Now that defensive end Everson Griffen has been fined, the Minnesota Vikings won't be any more pleased with the NFL over what it felt was a penalty on a clean play in last Sunday's loss to Green Bay.
The NFL announced Friday that Griffen will lose 15,750 for a roughing-the-passer penalty on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers late in the second quarter...
I think that game was also a little skewed because the Packers were on fire and the Texans were a...
The Green Bay Packers started off the season 2-3, but they went on a big winning streak and are now tied with the Chicago Bears for first place in the NFC North. The way we see it, they have a very good chance of residing solely in first after the weekend.

Deliver a big hit — legal or not — and face the consequences. That’s basically what the NFL has become. No team knows that more than the Green Bay Packers.
In spite the external stones being flung at Detroit Lions bench boss Jim Schwartz, there are still plenty of supporters. One comes in the unlikely form of a divisional foe: Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings.
