Monday morning mistakenness continues around the NFL. First, Brandon Weeden tried to convince us that he wasn’t overwhelmed in his first start against the Eagles. And now, Green Bay Packers cornerback Jarrett Bush is trying to convince us that the San Francisco 49ers didn’t flat out beat the Packers. But before we get to Bush’s mistakenness, let’s state the facts. The 49ers put up 30 points and 377 yards on offense. 186 of those yards were on the ground and Alex Smith went 20-26 for 191 yards and two touchdowns. With those numbers in mind, now we allow Bush to make his case. We beat ourselves. They really didn’t beat us,” offered a defiant but misguided cornerback Jarrett Bush. “We just have to hunker down and make sure we’re gap sound and get on the same page.
