The Green Bay Packers could very well be without two of their most heavily used defensive lineman against the Chicago Bears, as coach Mike McCarthy ruled out Ryan Pickett and made Mike Neal questionable for Sunday’s game.
Pickett suffered a concussion against the Oakland Raiders in Week 14 and hasn’t played since. McCarthy made it sound early in the week like they were hold him out of practice just to be cautious, but Pickett obviously hasn’t shown enough improvement to give it a go on Sunday. His situation is worth monitoring now that this second concussion has caused him to miss two straight games.
Neal, who has dealt with shoulder injuries throughout his brief career in Green Bay, hurt his shoulder against the Kansas City Chiefs and has been limited this week in practice. It’s 50/50 whether he’ll play on Sunday. He’s been ineffective since returning from a kn...

A Green Bay Packers Christmas Wish List
I’ve always wondered what professional athletes put on their wish lists for Christmas, especially the ones with a large contract. After all, having millions or even just tens of thousands of dollars at your disposal can pretty much buy you whatever you want. Fortunately, I have managed to put my curiosity to rest this week.
Through some careful reconnaissance work, I was able to...
Here’s Green Bay Packers Tight Ends’ Christmas Card
We wouldn’t bother to post this, unless it was awesome.
Unlike most NFL teams, who have two or three tight ends, the Green Bay Packers have five. They used to stockpile useless dudes who played fullback, which is more or less an antiquated position in the NFL, but this year, they’ve decided to stockpile those guys at tight end.
The Packers have their stud, Jermichael...
Pros and Cons of Packers Resting Their Starters over the Next 2 Weeks
After seeing their chances for a perfect season go awry in Kansas City, the 13-1 Green Bay Packers still have a big goal ahead of them before they end the 2011 NFL regular season. That is…clinching the No. 1 seed in the NFC and getting home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Trying to achieve that goal starts [...]
Packers confident on Jennings for playoffs
The Packers couldn't be more confident that wide receiver Greg Jennings will play in the NFC divisional playoff game the weekend of Jan. 14-15 at Lambeau Field.
Aaron Rodgers Likes Bear Hunting
When it comes to playing the Chicago Bears, Aaron Rodgers has a pretty good track record. Rodgers is 5-2 in his career against da Bears, and that includes a win in the NFC Championship Game at Soldier Field in Chicago last season. Plus both of his losses against Chicago certainly could have been Green Bay wins, [...]
More Needed From WRs Minus Jennings
The Packers' offense went into a funk at Kansas City, with Jordy Nelson and one of the league's top receiver corps unable to pick up the slack. The Packers need more from everyone on offense to beat Chicago on Sunday night.
Packers need more from WRs with Jennings out
In theory, the Green Bay Packers' group of receivers is deep and talented enough to make up for the loss of one player - even one as good as Greg Jennings.
Super Bowl XLVI: Despite loss, Packers still look like favorites
Even with the Green Bay Packers no longer chasing perfection, The Indianapolis Star's Colts writers are unanimous in their belief the defending champions will be the NFC representative in Super Bowl XLVI at Lucas Oil Stadium on Feb. 5. The AFC winner is another matter, with three former Super Bowl champions topping the list of contenders. The Star's Phil Richards (Baltimore...
Greg Jennings’ absence will be felt
The Green Bay Packers miss Greg Jennings. But the Bears sure won’t. Jennings has been the bane of the Bears’ existence the last three seasons. He averaged six receptions for 102 yards with a touchdown and two two-point conversions in the Packers’ five victories over the Bears since 2009. And he’s a constant reminder that you don’t need a top-five pick in the draft to find...
Bears gearing up to face Rodgers
The Bears defense will face a difficult challenge Sunday night in Green Bay against Aaron Rodgers, whos having one of the best seasons by any quarterback in NFL history.
Bears Bench CB Tim Jennings, Zack Bowman To Start Vs Packers
Bears cornerback Tim Jennings, who started the first 14 games, has been benched in favor of Zack Bowman for Sunday night's game against the Packers. The move had been discussed earlier in the week. Bowman is a better cover corner while Jennings is a better tackler. The Bears will need some of both against a potent group of receivers, even without Greg Jennings in the mix. "...
