The Green Bay Packers (9-4) expect to have linebacker Clay Matthews back in the lineup Sunday against the Chicago Bears (8-5) in an NFC showdown. "I thought he looked good all week," coach Mike McCarthy said Friday after the Packers held their last practice before the game. "I look for Clay to play and make an impact in the game." Matthews practiced the past three days without incident. The team's top pass rusher has missed the past four games because of a recurring hamstring injury. "It's different speed when you're out there at game speed, but I think he's had a good week of practice building up, so I'm anxious to see him out there playing," defensive coordinator Dom Capers said. According to ProFootballWeekly.com, the Green Bay Packers are now thinking about reducing wide receiver Randall Cobb’s kick returning duities since his offensive role has expanded so much this season. NFL will observe moment of silence at each game for CT shooting victims

We're still reeling from the unspeakable tragedy that has the nation and the world mourning the loss of 20 children and 6 adults in Newtown, CT. The NFL and it's players are also grieving the senselessness, having dealt with it's share of tragedy this season, although nothing comparable to what transpired this morning. It's hard to think of mere sports events at...

Packers' streak of fines ends at four weeks

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Finally, the Packers have gotten through a game without a player being fined. Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears: Week 15 NFL Pick

Green Bay Packers (9-4) at Chicago Bears  (8-5) I’ve called the Packers overrated before. This was because they were really banged up with injuries and as a result, they weren’t really playing as well as people thought they are. Injuries to Cedric Benson and now James Starks left the mediocre Alex Green as the feature back, running behind an offensive line that struggles both...

Brian Urlacher takes a shot back at Jermichael Finley

Earlier this week, Green Bay Packer tight end Jermichael Finley came out and said the Bears are a better team without linebacker Brian Urlacher on the field. Bears linebacker Lance Briggs came to the defense of Urlacher, but Urlacher also decided to fire back at Finley. “Just like a couple of years ago, I think, he tore his ACL and the Packers were actually better without him,”...
