While Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy didn’t offer an
injury update on wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings, he did not rule
out the possibility that linebacker Clay Matthews could be available this
weekend when the team takes on the Detroit Lions, reports ESPN Wisconsin.
Asked as a follow-up whether
Matthews, whom he initially said would miss “a couple weeks,” might in fact be
available this week, McCarthy did not rule him out.
Matthews pulled his hamstring
during a Nov. 4 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. McCarthy indicated that
the team was putting the linebacker through “some tougher rehab” yesterday and
would see how he responded.
Jennings missed last weekend’s contest while continuing to
recover from abdominal surgery, while Nelson exited early following an ankle
injury. Nelson was considered questionable heading into the weekend due to a
hamstring injury.
Beyond Matthews, Jennings and Nelson, Packers fans will
receive injury updates later in the week regarding safety Charles Woodson
(collarbone) and fullback John Kuhn (hamstring).

Bishop using his injury as motivation
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The massive scar along Desmond Bishop's right leg is a daily reminder to the Packers' inside linebacker that he's never going to be the same physically. Well, not the physical appearance near the area of his surgically repaired hamstring, anyway.
It's not that Bishop won't be able to regain the level of play that led him to be Green Bay'...

The Green Bay Packers have listed LB Clay Matthews (hamstring) as out on their injury report this week, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Aaron Rodgers Gets Engaged to a "Woman"
In a move that I'm sure shocked his male roommate, it appears Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has recently been engaged to random blonde "woman," Destiny Newton. Aaron Rodgers On ESPN Wisconsin Radio Show: Nope, No Big News To Share From Bye Week
What did we learn on Day 2 of the “Is Aaron Rodgers engaged,” saga? That Aaron Rodgers, on his ESPN Wisconsin radio show, wouldn’t confirm or deny that the giant rock on his girlfriend’s finger is an engagement ring.

Packers-Lions Preview
Though their bye week seemed to come at a good time, the Green Bay Packers are still plenty banged up.
Far from full strength despite a week off, the Packers can win a fifth straight game Sunday as it visits the Detroit Lions, who can't afford many more disappointments if they plan on returning to the playoffs.
Recent history favors Green Bay, which is 11-1 against the Lions...
