Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb injured his
ankle in the third quarter of yesterday’s rout of the Tennessee Titans, reports
Kareem Copeland of NFL.com.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb left
Sunday's 55-7 blowout win over the Tennessee Titans in the third
quarter with an ankle injury and did not return.
Cobb sustained the injury while fielding a punt late in the
game. Following the play he exited the field with a noticeable limp and was
taken to the Packers’ locker room soon after. Prior to his exit, Cobb had three
catches for 62 yards and a touchdown.
Following the game it was announced that X-rays taken on
Cobb’s ankle came back negative, suggesting his injury is not severe. The wide
receiver will undergo an MRI today as a precaution, but it looks like he could
be available next weekend against the Minnesota Vikings and will almost
certainly be ready to go for the playoffs.
