GREEN BAY, Wis. – On a normal day David Akers tying an NFL record on a 63-yard field goal would have been the lead story from a regular season game.
But when his team the San Francisco 49ers serves up a very confident win over the NFC’s team to beat, his accomplishment becomes one piece of a very large pie.
From the first tick off the game clock, Green Bay was snuffed out in just about every phase of the game.
The only problem is that they don't see it that way.
