The Green Bay Packers’ injuries have continued as fan favorite wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be out an estimated 4-6 weeks after surgery regarding a lingering nerve issue in his knee. If everything goes well he could be back for week 1 however it is most likely he will be favoring his knee– and this is not a positive thing especially when starting a new season. Nelson’s injury adds to a bad luck streak that stems from the 2012 season, as the team struggled to stay healthy  with injuries to multiple players. Currently, offensive tackle Bryan Bulaga is set to miss the remainder of the year and the defensive backfield remains compromised with Tramon Williams and Casey Hayward still nursing injuries. If the Packers plan on defending their back-to back NFC North Division titles– keeping injuries in check is a key priority going into the 2013 season. However goal number one is keeping star QB Aaron Rodgers healthy, as the bottom line remains without him the Packers will be a shadow of a Super Bowl contending team.
